On-the-job experience shows that sewing of geotextiles and industrial fabric segments minimizes material waste and insures stability during and after construction. Other joining methods such as gluing or clamping are inefficient, and do not offer a positive interface between sections. Tightly sewn materials are easier and less costly to install, particularly on soft or irregular soil, or in large subsurface drainage and erosion control installations.
